FBS Building Systems produces panelized wood frame structures
- homes, multi-family, commercial and special purpose
buildings.
Through the use of The FBS
System™, a highly automated system of production
pioneered in Scandinavia, FBS provides benefits to
Builders not available from
any other producer in North America.
From wall panels to floor panels and roof trusses, FBS
structures are superior.
FBS
wall panels are made from KD and Engineered lumber
in panels up to 27' long and 12' high (balloon frame
are also available) and are true to millimeters along
the full length of the panel. FBS I-Joist floor
panels come complete with a Silent Floor Warranty
from Weyerhaeuser.
FBS panelized approach,
using larger panels that are more complete (framed,
sheathed and windows installed) enable much more rapid
assembly of any wood frame structure. Recently a 3,000
square foot custom home was assembled to plate line
in one day.
Compared to stick frame costs,
FBS system lowers the builders costs by 15-30%
for the frame package - assembled walls, floor, roof
and windows.
The FBS System focuses on
Green materials in it's production. From SFI certified
lumber to OSI Green Series Low VOC caulks and adhesives,
FBS is constantly expanding it's use of Green Materials.
In addition, FBS waste in the factory is 3% (all
recycled) as compared to 15-22% on site, dramatically
reducing on-site waste and extending the life of our
landfills.
